In 1972
Lynne Harwood decided to buy a show dog, she was 19
years of age. She decided on an Afghan Hound, she loved
the elegance and beauty of the breed and bred 3
champions including an Afghan Hound of the Year (Qld
Comp). In 1975 Lynne decided to go into a breed with
little grooming and so her love affair with the
wonderful Dobermann breed began.
The
first Dobermann that Lynne handled was Ch Siva Dantes
Fire (sired by the great Ch Elmaro All Fire), Danny was
owned by Paul Harwood and the first Dobe that Lynne
owned was Dannys daughter Ch Terpau Earth WindnFire
'Rimsky'. All of the Cabochon Dobermanns of today go
back to Rimsky. Lynne has bred over 75 Champions, 5
Grand Champions and 10 Obedience champions over the
years. Her first grand Champion was Multi BIS Cabochon
the Cha Cha Cha. Cha Cha was bred to Ch Parima Great
Mogul to produce Multi BIS Grand Champion Cabochon Got
Cha a full brother to Ch Cabochon Caughtcha Lookn (owned
by Denise and Greg Ball).
Cha Chas
Grandson was Multi BIS winner Grand Champion Licorice
Alsort (owned by David and Robyn Harrop) . The next
Generation was Multi BIS Grand Champion Cabochon
Kamikazi (Kami is sired by Am Ch Winmars American Gigolo
Dassin out of Ch Cabochon at Lynnesdotcom).
The 5th
Generation Cabochon Grand Champion is Multi BIS Grand
Champion Cabochon Ecky Thump (ET). Over the past 30
years Lynne has imported into Australia Aquarius Relgar
V Cabochon (Arc) bred by Jim Briley of Louisianna, Am Ch
BJF the Comedy of Errors (Derek) bred by Julie and Mark
Stade of Kansas and more recently via New Zealand Aust,
Philippines and NZ Ch Sharinways Shado lans Cowboy from
Canada. Cowboy is the sire of our boy ET Australia's #1
Dobe 2006/7 who finished in the top 10 All Breeds in
Australia 2006, 2007 and 2008. ET was retired early
2009, he is the sire of multi BIS winning Champion
children.
Although
we do not breed very often these days we have several
exciting litters planned for the next few years from
frozen semen and local sires. All of our Dobermanns that
we use in our breeding program are DNA tested for vWD
disease and we strive for health and longevity in our
dogs. All pet/companion puppies are sold with Limited
Registration papers and we do welcome any serious show
or stud enquiries.

Lynne started judging dogs in 1980
gaining her first licence Hounds in 1982 and
attaining her All Breeds licence in 1999
She has judged over 40 shows in
the USA as well as 2 Dobe Specialties and a Samoyed
Specialty there. She has also judged Dobermann
Specialties in England, South Africa, the
Philippines and Australia as well as many other
breed specialties in Australia and overseas. Lynne
has judged All Breeds shows in Canada, USA, Denmark,
France, the Phillipines, Malaysia, Thailand, New
Zealand, Indonesia, South Africa, Hong Kong and is
contracted to judge in Japan, China, Ireland and
Sweden in the next year or so.
Lynne prizes breed type and
movement when judging and is an accredited tester
with the ANKC judges training scheme.
